Nevada has no statewide food handler card; health districts decide. In Las Vegas and the rest of Clark County, the Southern Nevada Health District requires its own card, with an in-person test, before you start work. This free practice test mixes questions on SNHD's test and the rules in Reno and Carson City with the food safety questions every Nevada test asks.
How it works: the full 30-question test includes all 10 questions on Nevada's rules, mixed with questions from our core bank of 98; the quick 15-question round includes 5 of them. Questions and answer order are shuffled every time, and your answers stay in your browser.

No. The official test is given in person by the Southern Nevada Health District, and passing it is what gets you the card. This practice test covers SNHD's rules and the food safety topics the district's training book teaches.
Can I take the SNHD food handler test online?
Not the first time. First-time testers take it in person at a Health District location with photo ID. After that, you can renew online every other time, if your previous test was taken in person after July 2018.
